2022.01.21 06:12 FlamingZebra63 I Hated MH:rise
lmao all these fanboys of Capcom saying "rise was good" "it better than world" bruh it looks terrible with graphics completely maxed, the experience playing until the "end of the game" took me less than 12 hours and the only fight that was even hard was the poster boy on the box art and the only reason he is hard is because if you get hit you die not to mention hes just angry all the time for the sake of being angry and that's not good monster design. (looking at you deviljo)
I liked mounted combat in old titles more then i like the "mounted" combat in this one, the food system is boring and uninspired, a lot of the armors and weapons don't look good.

2022.01.21 06:12 Ambitious-One6092 Asus TUF 15 vs Acer Nitro 5
Hi! I'm a college student looking for a portable machine, I need something that can handle pretty much anything for the next 4-5 years. My current options are Asus TUF 15 and Acer Nitro 5 both 2021 edition as they are the only ones that is physically available in store in my region.
I need help to decide between these two from those who experienced it. I appreciate future answers as this would be a big investment and I cannot afford it to be a waste.

Does anyone else always undergrip their preferred hand? I’m assuming that’s the consensus but does that feel unbalanced to some? If I’m doing 3 sets I do one overgrip and then alternate left/right oveunder
Someone please tell me if I’m being weird

2022.01.21 06:12 Organic-Cream-5281 Rampage VI extreme doesn't respect "ignore cpu fan speed lower limit"
Regarding a ROG Rampage VI Extreme motherboard...
I've got a water cooled setup so nothing is plugged into the cpu fan header.
This worked fine for months until I updated to the latest bios. Since then on boot it complains that "CPU fan speed error detected".
I've gone to monitoring > q-fan configuration and set the CPU fan control "cpu fan speed lower limit" to "Ignore".
However this doesn't help - I still can't boot and get the same issue.
I also tried setting CPU q-fan control from auto to disabled. This also didn't help.
Note that if I plug in a fan it does let me boot.
So it seems my bios are ignoring my choice to ignore cpu fan speed lower limit...
How can this be fixed?

2022.01.21 06:12 Ok-Photo-7835 Warlock's patron demanded the party hand over a magical item, party refused. What's an appropriate punishment?
We're playing through Princes of the Apocalypse. The party just finished destroying the first of the elemental temples: the temple of the crushing wave. Part of the loot they discovered is the elemental orb of water, basically a magical WMD.
I had discussed with the warlock player in advance that I wanted to have his patron (a Great Old One) exert some pressure on the character, and threaten him directly. The player thought this sounded awesome, but I didn't give him any more details.
On leaving the temple, a representative of the Great Old One (I'm running the patron's cult as an organised crime network, where only the very senior members know who they truly serve) approached the party with an offer: hand over the Orb in return for information on the location of an ancient king's burial chamber, where they could find "a king's ransom" and his personal weapons, but if they refused the Warlock would be punished.
The party, being the charming rapscallions they are, told the cultist to get f****d. I told the warlock that he could no longer breathe (boss player roleplayed this while the rest of the party argued). The cultist warned that they would get one more chance, then left the scene before the rest of the party killed him. I turned the warlock's oxygen back on, and left them to ponder the consequences.
But now I need to figure out what those consequences should be. I don't want to just auto-kill the PC, because that's no fun for anybody. But I want to bring some punishment that makes the patron seem powerful, terrifying, and not to be trifled with. In character, the party is split: some don't care about the fate of the orb and are happy to hand it over, some are pissed at the warlock for involving them in dark dealings with eldritch powers, the warlock is pissed that everybody would let him die out of general spite. Out of character, I want to be clear, everybody is cool and loving it.
Any suggestions on how to move forward with this? My idea is that the party loses all support from the crime network/cult, who have been a major source of quests & funds to date, and that in any combat against them the warlock get some significant nerf, like cultists are able to use a bonus action to force a wisdom save against him, if he fails he can't breathe and performs attacks at disadvantage. I would not bring in too many combats against the cultists, as I wouldn't want this to be what the whole campaign becomes about.
I also would like to offer a way out of this overall situation. The party spontaneously suggested finding a new patron, but I have no idea how to make that work thematically or mechanically.

2022.01.21 06:12 James1o1o Network issue with Hyper-V servers on Windows 10
I'm current in the middle of trying to setup a small home server project, I acquired an older computer that I want to use as a server, (6th gen i5)
I did quite enjoy the idea of using linux as a server, but there was some server software I wanted to use that would only work with Windows and some that only ran on Linux.
The current idea for my setup, is to use Windows 10 as the base OS, and then through Hyper-V, host two linux based virtual machines, one running Home Assistant OS, and the other a general linux server install. This way I could have my HassOS, linux server software and windows server software all running cocurrently.
My issue is with the networking setup regarding this. If I use the standard default NAT vSwitch of Hyper-V, I can still utilize the host windows OS server software (altserver), however my VM's are assigned a 172.xxx IP address, and are unable to be seen on my local network (can access internet however).
Now if I utilize external vswitch, the VM's are then assigned a local 192.xx IP, and I can then access my linux server, home assistant etc etc, however my Windows host suddenly becomes unavailable, and I cannot use my altsever software, and I reckon this is due to the way the vSwitch becomes my host computers "main NIC" through bridging.
Can anyone possible advise me or have any workaround for this? I tried last night installing Microsoft Hyper-V Server on the host, and I was just going to run my windows server inside a VM to get around the issue, but I didn't realize Hyper-V server doesn't support or work with wireless NIC's out the box.
Appreciate your time, apologies if I've explained this in a terrible way.
